Acceptable Use Policy
Last Updated: [17-08-2026]
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes acceptable and prohibited uses of SKOPEHOLD.
SKOPEHOLD provides automated website auditing, analysis, reporting, and related services.
The purpose of this policy is to protect our users, our infrastructure, websites being audited, and the broader internet ecosystem from misuse.
This AUP forms part of the SKOPEHOLD Terms of Service.
1. General Requirement
You may use SKOPEHOLD only for lawful, legitimate purposes and in accordance with:
- applicable laws and regulations;
- our Terms of Service;
- our Privacy Policy;
- this Acceptable Use Policy; and
- any applicable third-party rights or contractual obligations.
2. Authorized Website Auditing
You may submit a website for auditing only if you:
- own the website;
- operate the website; or
- have appropriate authorization from its owner or operator.
By submitting a URL, you confirm that you have the necessary authority to request the audit.
You are responsible for determining whether your use of the Service is permitted by the website's owner, applicable law, contractual arrangements, or other applicable restrictions.
3. Prohibited Security Testing
SKOPEHOLD is not intended to be used as a penetration-testing or offensive-security platform.
You must not use the Service to:
- exploit vulnerabilities;
- attempt unauthorized access;
- bypass authentication;
- bypass authorization controls;
- obtain passwords or credentials;
- escalate privileges;
- access restricted resources;
- manipulate security controls;
- test stolen credentials;
- deploy malicious payloads;
- execute arbitrary code against third-party systems;
- establish persistence on third-party systems; or
- otherwise compromise the security of a system.
If you need to conduct authorized penetration testing or security research, use appropriate professional security-testing tools and obtain explicit authorization from the relevant system owner.
4. Prohibited Network and Infrastructure Abuse
You must not use SKOPEHOLD to:
- conduct denial-of-service attacks;
- generate excessive traffic;
- intentionally overload a website;
- create traffic intended to degrade availability;
- perform port scanning;
- perform network reconnaissance unrelated to an authorized audit;
- conduct brute-force attacks;
- perform credential stuffing;
- conduct automated login attempts;
- evade rate limits;
- rotate IP addresses to circumvent restrictions; or
- otherwise abuse network resources.
5. Malicious URLs and Content
You must not intentionally submit URLs or content designed to:
- distribute malware;
- distribute ransomware;
- distribute spyware;
- distribute phishing pages;
- steal credentials;
- execute malicious code;
- exploit browser vulnerabilities;
- attack audit infrastructure;
- compromise third-party systems; or
- otherwise cause harm.
This does not prohibit legitimate auditing of a website that happens to contain a security issue, provided that you are authorized to audit the website and are not attempting to exploit or worsen the issue.
6. Circumvention of Service Controls
You must not attempt to bypass or circumvent:
- authentication;
- subscription restrictions;
- usage quotas;
- rate limits;
- API limits;
- concurrency restrictions;
- account restrictions;
- security controls;
- URL restrictions;
- technical safeguards; or
- other limitations implemented by SKOPEHOLD.
Examples include creating multiple accounts solely to avoid usage limits or manipulating requests to obtain functionality not included in your subscription.
7. Automated Access
You may use automation only through functionality and APIs officially provided by SKOPEHOLD.
You must not create automated systems that:
- excessively call the Service;
- bypass rate limits;
- create large numbers of accounts;
- consume disproportionate resources;
- interfere with other customers;
- circumvent subscription limitations; or
- reproduce or replicate the core functionality of the Service without authorization.
8. Scraping and Data Collection
You must not use SKOPEHOLD as a mechanism for collecting or extracting information in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
You are responsible for ensuring that any information you collect, process, or use through the Service is obtained and used lawfully.
You must respect applicable privacy, intellectual property, contractual, and access restrictions.
9. Personal and Sensitive Information
You should not intentionally submit highly sensitive personal information, credentials, authentication tokens, API keys, payment-card information, or confidential secrets to the Service.
If a website being audited publicly exposes such information, you should report the issue through the appropriate channel rather than attempting to collect, exploit, or redistribute the information.
10. Intellectual Property
You must not use SKOPEHOLD to:
- infringe copyrights;
- violate trademarks;
- misappropriate trade secrets;
- violate software licenses;
- reproduce protected content without authorization; or
- otherwise infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
11. Privacy and Personal Data
You must not use SKOPEHOLD to unlawfully collect, process, expose, or distribute personal information.
If an audit involves personal information, you are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate legal basis and authorization for the activity.

- deceptive commercial practices;
- payment fraud;
- chargeback abuse;

- other fraudulent activity.
13. Illegal Activity
You must not use the Service to facilitate or participate in activities that violate applicable laws or regulations.
We may restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe the Service is being used for unlawful activity.
14. Interference With Other Users
You must not use the Service in a manner that negatively affects another customer's use of the platform.
This includes:
- consuming unreasonable shared resources;
- intentionally generating excessive workload;
- abusing shared infrastructure;
- attempting to access another user's account;
- attempting to access another user's audit data; or
- interfering with platform availability.
15. Security Research
We recognize that legitimate security research can be valuable.
However, SKOPEHOLD should not be used to conduct security research against third-party websites without appropriate authorization.
If you are performing authorized security research, ensure that:
- you have permission from the system owner;
- your testing is within the authorized scope;
- you do not intentionally disrupt services;
- you do not access unrelated data; and
- you comply with applicable rules and agreements.
16. Robots.txt and Website Policies
The Service may encounter websites that publish robots.txt files, terms, access restrictions, or other technical instructions.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of SKOPEHOLD complies with applicable website policies and legal requirements.
SKOPEHOLD may also implement its own crawling and access controls.
17. Rate Limits and Resource Usage
We may establish:
- request limits;
- audit limits;
- concurrency limits;
- URL limits;
- API limits;
- storage limits; and
- other usage restrictions.
These limits may vary by subscription plan.
You must not attempt to circumvent them.

We may take immediate action when necessary to protect our infrastructure, customers, third parties, or the public.
21. No Obligation to Monitor Everything
We do not have an obligation to proactively monitor every use of the Service or every website submitted to the platform.
However, we may use automated systems, logs, reports, and other information to detect potential abuse and enforce this AUP.
22. False or Malicious Reports
You must not intentionally submit false abuse, security, copyright, or other reports designed to harass another user or disrupt the Service.
23. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP periodically.
Material changes may be communicated through the Service or other appropriate channels where required.
The updated version will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date.
